Entrepreneurship

Empowering Diversity in Tech and Entrepreneurship (EDiTS)

In 2017, I co-founded the non-profit EDiTS - Empowering Diversity in Tech and Entrepreneurship, a diversity-oriented NGO born out of the Global Shapers Madrid hub, an initiative of the World Economic Forum. Global Shapers is a youth network focused on boosting dialogue, action and change through projects with a social impact focus to tackle changes at the local, regional and global levels.

EDiTS aimed to promote fair and equal access to work through the diversification of profiles in Spain’s entrepreneurial ecosystem. With the support of the World Economic Forum, Google Campus, and the Impact Hub, we organized a flagship event with high-profile speakers – including Cristina Aranda (Co-Founder of Women Tech), Marta Fernández Herraiz (Founder LesWorking), Paola Garcia (CEO of Chefly), Lorena Martín (Spanish Ambassador for the Technovation Challenge), Adriana Botelho (CEO of KeepCoding), and Cristina Antelo (CSR lead de SAP Spain) – to offer insight into the path towards more inclusive and diverse work communities in Spain and abroad.

The NGO operated until 2019, and drove me to continue to research and build on entrepreneurial communities as drivers of agency, independence, and empowerment.
